Self proclaim holiday

Because we got the Student Pass offer fro USS earlier in the year, we went again today to make full use of it! (the pass expires 30thNov so high chance we will go again!) Decided to go USS today long ago, but it was a well planned timing, cause I just wrapped up one of the group project which was really a relief! Glad that it was finished yesterday else today I would not be able to enjoy myself totally! :)

 

Anyway, the plan for today was very simple, catch all the shows available, ride the transformers, cyclone, and the sesames street! And of course not forgetting the must have, CHURROS! So first we met at noon time for a light lunch.

 

 

Then we slowly made our way to USS! Surprisingly it wasn't as crowded as we expected it would be. Plus this was a weekend and it didn't at all looked like a weekend crowd. Weird. Reached there and realised that the cyclone ride was down for maintenance so we concluded that it's highly because the cyclone are down thus the unusual weekend "crowd".

 

We also got to ride the sesames street ride which we wasn't able to the other time due to maintenance! Though it was a family ride but we felt it was good cause of the decorations and the whole experience of the ride. So many figurines and actions to look at. Very attractive for the kid in me! ^^

As I said, today's plan at USS was just to relax. So we went around taking photos at nice places and with mascots!

 

We missed the timing for photo shooting with Bumble Bee, and only manage to take a shot with Optimus Prime. In case anyone was wondering, that is not a statue, it is a person on stilts, in the costume! We could see the person inside grasping for air after every pose he/she made.

 

MUST HAVE CHURROS! ^^ See how happy and satisfied we are!

 

There's no other better way to end the night but with good food! 2 Chefs for dinner and ting joined us. Topping it up for our sweet tooth, salted caramel! Too good too good. :)

 Bottom line, a good day indeed. All ready to begin busy days with projects and exams in a month's time! Go go go!

BigBang F1 Mini Concert

This was it. The 2nd time I'm seeing the OT5 performing and it was awesome! Kind of like a mini concert which lasted 75min. Went with the Chingu :)

 

Went to see the F1 first to make the pass all worth while. Basically it's going so fast that it's impossible for me to capture any picture of the car.

 

 

So after experiencing the F1 practice, met another friend and enjoyed the concert together. Actually not together la, haha. Ended up standing at different place. Saw many post from friends on twitter and instagram that they were there too but too many people to find them. Hahaha.

We are both excited! :)

 And I really wonder how this person was able to go up to that tower and take the photo. I thought only staffs was allowed to enter that lightings tower? hmmmm. But it doesn't matter, as long as HQ pictures, I'm thankful enough. HAHAHA!

And so, this also marks the end of my first light stick. The battery exploded inside the light stick and all the black substance just spoiled the whole light stick :( 

 

Projects // Mid-autum

When others were enjoying themselves celebrating Mid-autumn, playing lanterns and gathering with friends to have fun. So did we. But ours is different, we were making fun out of work. Hahaha. Enjoyed moon cake, Chinese tea and pomelo.

Laziness on the rise

As project dateline slowly creeps near, so does the exam dates too. Exams begin around 1 week after the last project dateline but yet I'm still taking it easy now. Which in fact exams is in a month's time. Well I guess it's the amount of project and exam stress piling up, too much to do thus the mind acting the total opposite of what I should be doing. Haha!

On the lighter note, bought a new camera with the main feature of self-shots. Beginning with Cindy's birthday, didn't take much that day so just a few of those I took.

On the Saturday that just past was the annual mid-autumn celebration church would have. This year it was held at Mayflower Sec again but the turn out rate wasn't as good as last year ever since the law from MOE that forbid us from giving out event flyers to the students. So large number of audience were old aged people from neighbouring blocks and our church members.

 

Yes, special program for children was held as usual. This year's program for them was the usual lantern making with recycled material and the main event was snow skin moon cake making for them. The kids sure had fun hands on making them! Definitely working with kids means chaos but of course our well experienced teachers and parents who volunteered to help handled things well! :) Thumbs up to them!
