Erjie's Advance Birthday Dinner

Once again it's the second princess' birthday. Since on the actual birthday of her's me and mum woun't be available, we have settle with 2 days in advance. Dinner was at the Korean BBQ Buffet located at United Square. It's the famous Korean BBQ that was originally at the stretch of old Novena shop houses opposite the Novena church, and was relocated at the current place about a year ago.

Since it has moved to the new location, I have not tried it yet and I thought the 2nd sis and BIL have not either so I suggested there. But then when reached then I got to know that I was the only one that have not been there. But anyway, we still enjoyed dinner thought.

However, felt kind of not as appreciated for going through the trouble of getting another box of 白色恋人 just for her cause she said that it was my fault for not reminding her that Japan was famous for that and it was her favourite. So, whatever about the not reminding part, I was nice enough to go through all those trouble yet I just got a "orh thanks" from her that's all. Seems like she's being very strict on her praises and thankful words to me now as compared to last time when I bought her anything. May be I should stop buying stuffs for her for a long time then start again so she would appreciate it. Well, it really does matter to me even though I am her sister where I'm suppose to be nice to her but still giving a sense of appreciation would really mean a lot to me. Or maybe I'm just too sensitive about her thankful cause she really meant it from the bottom oh her heart. I don't know but it's all just saying and expressing my bottled up feelings for today.

PLUS I thought she would really like the macaroons that I got for her but turned out that she have tried macaroons before and it's at the bottom of her list of likes. Kind of got rejected from her which well, really did quite some unbalanced feeling in me.

Oh well, have already poured out my bottled up feelings for the whole day and now for photos! :)

A trip to Tokyo

Finally got my laptop repaired/formatted and now blogger and everything else is working fine which means updating of post with pictures! YAY! ^^
First of all I need to say, something wrong with my laptop or blogger that I'm unable to upload photos AGAIN! So i'm sorry to my dear readers this post with be boring if you're a picture person. You can go to see the pictures from my FB if you have it and can find it. HAHAHA!

So anywaysssss...this trip has been a good experience for me, quite a few first time experiences throughout this trip.

First time taking a plane on my own
First time paying for my own trip
First time experiencing an earthquake (no harm, no worries)
First time finding our own way around and getting lost in between destinations
Hahahaha~

So beginning with day 1, Shiyu and I used up all of the day travelling from SG then transited at HK to Tokyo then another 1hour bus ride to where our guesthouse was, located in Shinjuku. A long journey indeed! Slept early to prepare to enjoy a good day next day.

Day 2 went to Harajuku area staring with Yoyogi Park where we were supposed to see many cosplay around but end up saw only very few. Not as expected from what the website had stated. Next walked over to the Meiji Shrine which was right beside. Saw many cute little kid dressed in Japanese traditional costume and they really look so dolled up! And when asked to take a photo of the kid by many tourists, the parent would smile so happily. It’s as if they doll their kid up to show them off. Haha~ but some kid are too shy to take photo.

Then the sky slowly darken and we though oh its time to head home, but no, we checked our time and it's only 5pm! So mislead! So headed to the must go traditional tourist shop and Kiddy lane. Goodness, the figurines and toys and all those Japan anime character things are so so so much cheaper than those selling in SG or online. So of course I bought those I like which includes bearbrick. It is the light bearbrick that was selling online at SGD50 per bear but I only bought it for approximately SGD15! Of course I took the good deal and bought 2! So happy I am. haha!

Day 3 was the day another friend join us. So the two of us first walked around our area, shopping centre and all. Saw so much good food but we just do not have enough stomach space to try everything! Around early afternoon LiJuan arrived and we went back to put down her stuffs and head out to Shibuya area, and yes we went to witness the Guinness World record of most people crossing the road at the same time! Goodness, it's really kind of scary seeing it from the famous Starbucks where every tourist will be there for once at least.

Day 4 went to Disneysea and it was so fun even though it was so so cold that day but I still had so much fun. The kid in me was totally unleashed. Haha! The rides there were all so fun and we didn't had to queue so long up to 2 hours like what others have told us. So much find that day. :) And of course I bought my favourite character merchandise. Winnie the pooh! But sadly there would have been more if we had went to Disney Land instead.

Day 5 went to Harajuku area again and yes I bought another bearbrick again too! AND AND AND I finally bought the Bigbang hand band from LAWSON there. Saw Lawson everywhere when BB hand band not out yet, and cant find a single Lawson when BB hand band was out. What logic. Haha.

Day 6 was the day we went to most places. Started off with Ueno park, Ueno traditional market, Sky Tree, Roppongi, and ended with the night street at Shinjuku. Too much to type so I'll just let the photos do the talking. Hahaha!

So it was time for me to say good bye to Tokyo. Own trip back to Singapore was smooth except the part where my baggage was not transited in time along with me on the way back to Singapore from HK airport. So it was being delayed. Was not really panic cause I wasn't the only one, there were others who did the same transit as me whos baggage was left at HK airport too. So we were rather sure it's not the case of lost or someone else took it.

The part I love most about taking airplane is that I get to see the beautiful views from above. Such serenity, such calmness, everything is so small.

And these are the things that I've bought from Tokyo. Things for myself, family and friends. :)

Enjoyment is bliss

This marks the end of my exams and I'm back blogging! ^^ This holidays is going to be so packed with event and I am definitely excited much. So first of all some throwbacks first.

2 Saturdays back, the 2nd sister decided to cook a meal for us and of course she asked me for help. So it became a meal cooked by the two Lin sisters. She just need to have more confident in cooking and the food will turn out good instead of saying that its not going to be good and how she have started off bad and all. After all, the feeling that you put into the cooking can be tasted by the people who eats it. *true story.

Tired us after cooking

The yummy food for the night!

Happy us and XL putting a annoying face.
Then on the Tuesday last week was daddy's birthday and what's better than having steamboat for dinner! Too awesome. Totally enjoyed our time spent together.

After that steamboat dinner was a week of mugging and testing of my memory, and of course as usual I have bad memory and exams answer were mostly written in own words. I just have never been able to memorise word for word, it just don't work for me.

So after the last paper, we just had to go and sing our hearts out! Total relief I say! ^^

So after that till now, was catching up on the shows I've missed and re-watching those Taiwan drama that I have always loved.

This November is going to be so eventful and I can't wait for each to come:
1. 4th Nov - Top's birthday
2. Steamboat with uni friends
3. Tokyo Trip
4. Top's first singles
5. Bigbang (donno which no.) singles
6. Erjie's birthday
7. Children's Camp

And then for December too:
1. Most of the days being busy with my Christmas orders
2. Youth Camp
3. Christmas celebration with cell and uni friends

Yep, so that's about it the list of things that I would be doing and am definitely looking forward. It's actually my first trip going solo just with friends overseas. The feeling is just different from last time cause now there's not parents coming along. :) Can't wait!
