Its been 2 years again

The once every 2 years Church Family Camp have just passed again and I still can remember 2 years ago what happened in Batam. This time round was so much fun, so much changes. We've all grown up so much that it's our turn now to be involved in parts of the camp from planning to holding each and every event. Those single then was now married and it's all so different yet the same heart warming times spent together.

Even thought saying this as a family camp, but honestly I didn't spent much time with my actual family. Instead, I spent most of the time with my second family, my cell mates. I really do thank God for the time well spent those 4 days 3 nights, it has really been such a long time since we got together and knowing more about each other and HTHT with the few closer girls till early morning was just awesome. It's really been long, especially with everyone busy with studies and those who just started work.

So, staring from day 1 have been a challenge. This time round not because there were late comers, but because of the bus. There were 3 busses which met with licencing problem of their own of not being honest, resulted in us having deprived of 3 buses. The calls to each coach agency was so frequent that all the coach company in Singapore knew that AMK Methodist CAC was in need of 3 buses and they even told us not to call anymore because that day was the beginning of long weekend PH cause of Hari Raya. I'm not sure of the details, but eventually ZS and LJ was about to find 2 replacement busses and the old people and what every bulky items we had were arranged onto the last 2 busses. End up having 25 youths to take public transport with their heavy bags all the way to woodlands, cross SG customs and arrive at MY custom, where one bus which have safely dropped the first load of people drove all the way back to fetch them. All in all they reached at 8pm. I'm really so proud of those youths. They're not those little kids that I see in church who always make noisy and all. They have grown :) Why I say that? Because the whole trip, they did not complain, but encourage each other! How much maturity is that!

Continuing, the rest of the days was good. Everything went smoothly, programmes and all. The best part was the 160kg of durians the crazy-ultimate-durian-fan-uncles for the win. ZS arranged for the durians to be send down to our resort in Malacca all the way from Mua! That was really awesome! The amount of durians was crazy, never did I see anyone order so much durian before! Hahahaha!

This is only half of all the 160kg durians

Daddy so happy with durians too!

Also, the PPT duo is back in action! So awesome :) The times when 2nd service ppt was either me or mopes. Memories, just, awesome. :)

And this drummer got his own group of little fan girls! Hahahaha! He's secretly totally enjoying the moment I tell you. LOL!

Not forgetting how much fun we had together as a cell, water park, ultimate freebee, volley ball (which I did not join cause I had to go prepare for PPT), staying up late playing games. And a few of us even joined the youth to play ultimate murderer. So much more fun when playing in a big group of I think almost 15 people? 5 murderer, 3 detectives, and 3 nurse. And killing was not just by winking, they invented bomb and atomic bomb which will kill 3 and 5 people at one go respectively. Hahaha! The way how the nurse revives a dead commoner was by a kiss, and it was all too funny! The things and facial expression and all, too awesome!

Then on the 3rd day, we had separate ministry activity in the morning. Our young adults ministry activity was running man! Haha! The mini games we played was all improvised from the actual running man show and the 'final show down' had to be the tearing of name tags! It was possible because last Christmas the older cell group, the guys all received a actual RM shirt with their own names from one of the brothers. So it was improvised that those few with the shirt were the "Kings" and the rest had paper wristlets on as substitutes of the name tag, and the main aim was to protect our "King". It was a crazy situation I tell you! Everyone's true colours appear once the tearing start. Hahaha! But it was all fun, we all didn't bring any emotions out of the game. It was good :)

Then in the afternoon was a half-day tour in Malacca. Went to the usual history informative places first, then it was shopping time! Went to this shopping centre which I obviously don't remember, and the to Jonker Street in the evening. We tried to play 食字路口 but it was a failed attempt cause we had limited time and the place was really very badly packed! But still we ate much good street food and it was a crazy experience. :)

The guy just had to walk pass holding a fan just like that

The camp ended well and the trip back to SG was good. Jam was not that bad and everyone reached back in church by 5pm. It was all a safe and wonderful journey, and thank God for everything, for the whole camp. Awesome!
